
Jean Shinoda Bolen is a psychiatrist, Jungian analyst, feminist and activist who is known internationally for her advocacy work on behalf of human, women’s and children’s rights. She has worked with the United Nations on human rights, and has traveled worldwide to speak on her issues. She currently published her 14th book, an illustrated memoir titled “Ever Widening Circles”.

Congresswoman Norma Torres represents the southern California Inland Empire, advocating for her district for over a decade. During her time in Congress, Torres has worked to protect democracy at home and abroad. As the only Central American-born Member of Congress, she successfully directed the Appropriations Committee to efficiently fund programs addressing the root causes of migration, calling out lawlessness and impunity by authoritarian leaders in the Americas, preventing violence against women and children, and promoting human rights. She tries to work across the aisle – to get her legislation passed into law.

Nadia Mahmoud Giol is an Arab, Muslim, Palestinian Israeli woman, mother, and daughter of a displaced family from the war of 1948, living in an area of ongoing conflict and war. She chose to bring Nonviolent Communication (NVC) to the multicultural community in her country, to remedy the social and systemic separation, ethnic racism, and ongoing violence there. Nadia leads dialogue and mediation groups in the Palestinian-Israeli community, and works with other groups promoting peace and understanding.
